Now it’s just a ring…

28 12 2008

I always wondered what I can still do with this ring, and after my daily reading on blogs like Strobist.com I just wanted to try some macro-shoot with some nice lighting and was happy that the ring is still serving a purpose! I had a hard time finding the right gel for my speedlights to match the ceiling lighting and as you can see the reflection of the SB-600 is still slightly off, because I only had one CDI-to-tungsten-gel. That’s why I desaturated it a bit. Of course a new and untouched ring would make for a better, smoother surface. My electronic dictionary from Sharp was used as the reflective surface.

Photoshop: Curves, slight desaturation, slight unsharpen mask, some scratches on the surfaced removed
