Went out today and had a photo session with my good friends Nikon D300, SB-600 and Ai :).
We were uphill the sports section of a university near Shinjuku of which you can see the skyskrapers in the back of this shot.

Photoshop: Blended B&W Adjustment Layer, Gradiation Curve

  1. Great light! Is this FP high-speed sync? How did you control the light? Shutter speed compensation? Off or on-camera? Anyway, i love this shot and the model is beautiful too.

  2. PiXistenZ, thanks for the comment and the questions.

The shutter speed was 1/200 at f/14 and 125 ISO to darken the background and get all the details. View a little Larger

Lighting was accomplished with the on-camera flash for a little fill-light and a Nikon Speedlight SB-600, which I held camera right.

    Thanks again.

  3. f14? then you were using tele probably? 85mm or higher?

  4. Yeah. Used my “old” Nikkor AF 28-80mm 3,3-5,6f … so nothing fancy.
